The Garth Heckman Benefit meet was an amazing event that I was so honored to be apart of. Garth Heckman is a powerlifter that just overcame colon cancer and now has been givin a 50% chance of being alive in five years cuz he was just diagnosed with liver cancer. The nutter family and event staff were able to raise 10,000$ for the family.
This was my best performance hands down in any meet. I hit my biggest powerlifting goal squatting 1003, and it didnt kill me haha. That is such a huge mental barrier, 1000lbs! My bench has always been my nemisis I hit 551 and missed 600 which is stupid cuz its easy weight and I hit it twice in training. I hit 777 dead and almost hit another pl dream. I locked out 804 on the dead but my callouses ripped off on my left hand making me drop the damn bar. I hit huge amazing pr's and was apart of an awsome cause 1003-551-777=2331 Next stop apf senior nationals!
