Squats were all very easy, but still need to hold back a hair. I've done 800x2 raw before so 700x3 is easyish.

Will do extra session Monday for leg rehab.

Sunday morning at the Arnold it was all about focusing on the “Cage”. Got over to the cage in time to watch the Skiba’s Gym seminar. That was great stuff. When you’ve been powerlifting for 10years like I have sometimes you think you know it all. I sat there through the whole discussion and demonstration and learned a ton. I have already started to incorporate some the stuff I heard into my training. As they were finishing up I was asked to grab the microphone and tell the crowd what I planned to do? Well I am not the type to pump myself up or talk about what I am gonna do publicly. That doesn’t mean that in my head I don’t have some sadistic thoughts around how far I can push my body before a castastrophy. Well I was put on the spot and said in to the microphone that I’d squat 1,000lbs. So much for load the bar and see what happens, now the cat was out of the bag and I needed to nut up and squat.
I started warming up and decided that to make the lift more dangerous and exciting Chains would be fun. Chains add a whole new level of instability to the squat. As I warmed up Bobby Fields and David Barth asked if they could squat with me. It was glad they jumped in, it made the session much more fun. Once we got 300lbs of chains and 300lbs of straight weight, we had one of the fitness models who came into the “Cage” decided to spot me. Well as I walked the weight out 150lbs of chains on one side slid off. Guess it was bad timing for a fitness model to spot me. No worries though as I was able to walk the lopsided bar back into the rack. The next rerack I knocked the rack hooks off and nearly fell again. All this made the session much more exciting and fun. I went up too 900lbs on the bar and took it for a couple of reps. I was trying to figure out of the 900lbs was heavy or not. Had no clue. I had taken two servings of “Rage” and honestly had no clue how the weight felt. We took the bar to a grand and I told Tiny Meeker (announcer) that I’d give it run for 1 or 2 reps. I told the spotters (David Barth, Robert Crotty and Ben Seath) “hey maybe 0,1 or 2”. Took the weight and wobbled all over the place, but took the first rep with ease. As I kept going the reps got easier. I did a grand for 5 reps. I guess I should a backed off and went up for a heavy double, because I was toasted after those reps. Really loved the “Cage”! One of the coolest experiences in my lifting life. Thanks to Universal and crew in the “Cage” for having me. Thanks Bobby and David for jumping in with me and squatting. Also big thanks too Ben Seath for wrapping my knees. Also big thank you to Rob Crotty for all your help. Next year 1100?
